Hi & Welcome to Backyard Scope - Some info about me: My name is Nadeem, currently residing in a Light Polluted Suburb of London. I have had a interest in Astronomy since the age of 11, started with pair of 10x50 Prinz Binoculars which my Dad bought for me from Dixons.

It has been recently since that I have taken Astronomy as a hobby again in 2008, I Started to learn my way around the sky again then decided to buy a Telescope. My 1st initial scope was a Meade ETX90PE which I found was not very Beginner friendly, then I progressed into using a proper Equatorial Mount with a Skywatcher 5" Maksutov Cassegrain.

I have tried to cater the website for Unguided Astrophotography & to show that with the most minimal of Telescope equipment that wonderful images can be obtained with patience & practice without spending huge amounts of money on other guiding equipment or very expensive ccd astro cameras, which people nowadays like to drum into peoples minds that they need this stuff to produce worthwhile astro images, which is simply not true. I myself do believe that unguided work is somewhat of a special skilled black art in Astrophotography, but can be learned with Patience & Practice.

What can be more satisfying then seeing your images gradually progress into something wonderful ? There is more then a life times worth of stuff to image out there, so whats your rush ? You tell me !
